Floor art has a long history; my personal conception of this type of works starts from the changed way of enjoyment compared to vertical ones; the work does not loom over the observer, on the contrary it is the observer who towers over it and shares its space. There is no longer a privileged direction of observation, and the general design loses communicative importance ceding it to the details; the subject becomes the "background" of real life creating perspectives, paths, pauses that do not exist in the architecture and that, in material interaction, in movement, change in shape, direction and color. Despite its immutability, the work becomes interactive and invites to be explored, discovered. The intervention can then be extended to the surrounding vertical surfaces creating an immersive effect, just as the customization of the furniture elements complements the design of the space and increases interaction.
